The first release of TicketCoach is available now with the first feature to drop: Issue Health-checks
Once configured, Health Checks are conducted against issues in the projects you have enabled to check them against a set of rules that determine risk. Issues are evaluated each time they are edited or viewed and a summary of the evaluation is available within the Issue itself.
These rules can be turned on or off based on your team’s ways of working and include things like:
Some of these rules are more suitable for either Kanban or Scrum and can be turned on / off as required. The number of failed rules that identify Low, Medium and High risk is also able to be configured.
Health Checks also add a custom field called Issue Risk
that can be used in JQL to surface risky issues in Saved and Quick Filters.
Health Checks are for teams who want to be more proactive with identifying the Jira issues that are at risk of delivery or quality defects, and taking measures to improve both these issues and their ways of working.
TicketCoach is designed to work with all flavours of agile and lean. It currently works best for teams using relatively minor customisation of workflows, issue types and schemes but we are looking to improve the extent to which it will work with heavily customised setups.
